PROJECT ENGINEER

Summary

The Project Engineer will be a key member of the Bryant Construction Management Team in our Landover, MD office, where he/she will provide technical engineering information to contractors in support of the successful completion of projects for a wide range of public and private sector clients.

Job Description

The Project Engineer will, with limited supervision, will provide technical information to contractors to ensure that projects comply with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions.

RESPONSIBILITIES: (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED)
  • Reviews, analyzes and resolves field construction problems, discrepancies and interferences with architect/engineer, owner and specialty contractors on a daily basis
  • Responsible for document control, submittals, quality control and safety observances
  • Monitors fieldwork and works with contractor to ensure compliance, maintenance of schedule and adherence budget
  • Attend and participate in project coordination meetings
  • Track and enforce project schedule as it relates to submittals, performance of project work and close out

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving record check
  • Ability to pass a background check for certain clients (e.g. WSSC)
Education And/Or Experience
  • BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
  • 5+ years of Construction Management experience and PE license, or ability to PE license within the first year of employment


Computer Skills
  • Proficient in CM14 or other construction management software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • AutoCad® Civil 3D® proficiently a plus

Travel

Local travel to job sites and client meetings as required
