We are seeking a talented and experienced individual to join our team as a Project Engineer in the Food Production industry. As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a variety of projects at multiple locations across the country. Responsibilities
Manage engineering projects end-to-end; Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our manufacturing processes and equipment to enhance productivity and quality
Negotiate best cost for equipment while maintaining supplier relationships
Perform cost calculations and prepare financial projections
Prepare work schedules in collaboration with the project team
Liaise between contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
Create and test prototypes to ensure that designs are feasible and meet performance requirements
Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes by analyzing system data and identifying areas for improvement
Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and production personnel to troubleshoot and solve mechanical problems
Create and maintain technical documentation, such as diagrams, engineering specifications, and operating manuals
Adhere to industry and government regulations and standards for safety, quality, and environmental impact
Recommend and implement cost-effective solutions to reduce manufacturing expenses while maintaining product quality and employee safety
Stay current with the latest technology and developments in the field of manufacturing engineering
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team and the organization
Present project progress updates to all stakeholders
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the food production industry
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong negotiation skills
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing industry regulations
Solid understanding of regulatory and safety standards in food production
Proficient in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) and project management tools
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Remote position with up to 75% travel required
