We are seeking a talented and experienced individual to join our team as a Project Engineer in the Food Production industry. As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a variety of projects at multiple locations across the country. This is a hands-on role where you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on our operations and help drive our company's success. Responsibilities

  • Manage engineering projects end-to-end; Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our manufacturing processes and equipment to enhance productivity and quality
  • Negotiate best cost for equipment while maintaining supplier relationships
  • Perform cost calculations and prepare financial projections
  • Prepare work schedules in collaboration with the project team
  • Liaise between contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
  • Create and test prototypes to ensure that designs are feasible and meet performance requirements
  • Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes by analyzing system data and identifying areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and production personnel to troubleshoot and solve mechanical problems
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, such as diagrams, engineering specifications, and operating manuals
  • Adhere to industry and government regulations and standards for safety, quality, and environmental impact
  • Recommend and implement cost-effective solutions to reduce manufacturing expenses while maintaining product quality and employee safety
  • Stay current with the latest technology and developments in the field of manufacturing engineering
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team and the organization
  • Present project progress updates to all stakeholders


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the food production industry
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing industry regulations
  • Solid understanding of regulatory and safety standards in food production
  • Proficient in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) and project management tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Remote position with up to 75% travel required
