Project Manager
SUMMARY
De Nora Water Technologies focuses on the development and supply of water and wastewater treatment, filtration, and disinfection solutions for municipal, industrial, energy and marine applications, and continues to meet the needs of our clients. Our localized service staff are factory trained to support all our disinfection, instrumentation, and filtration products.
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of the project, which includes organizing, directing, coordinating, and controlling the planning, engineering, procurement and/or construction of projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reviews project proposals, estimates, and schedules for compliance with customer specifications
Prepares detailed project schedule to meet milestones agreed upon with Project Stakeholders
Works with Engineering and Quality to identify and address all non-conformity issues on project
Evaluates and approves design changes, specification, and documentation releases
Establishes and maintains appropriate and timely written communications with all project team members and the customer throughout the life of the project
Conducts project meetings as necessary to gather project status information as well as to provide information and guidance to the project team members
Assigns personnel to specific project tasks and prioritizes workload for project team
Encourages the project team to search for better and more economical solutions to design problems
Maximizes efficiency of assigned project team through leadership, organizational and motivational skills
Mediates and resolves project team conflicts
Creates project in the ERP system and manages and controls the budget allocated for the project
Forecasts expenditures on the Projects necessary to meet the Project Schedule
Communicates and negotiates commercial issues with the Customer
Coordinates placement of orders, fabrication scheduling and delivery of components with Purchasing
Reviews and authorizes payments to vendors
Establishes and maintains primary customer contact between the company project team and the customer
Coordinates invoicing of payment milestones with the Accounting Department and the customer
Coordinates preparation of all Engineering and Documentation deliverables to meet contractual requirements
Coordinates equipment shipping, installation, startup, and training logistics with field service personnel, vendor field service personnel, and the customer
Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions
Qualifications:
Knowledge of the overall scope of the company’s equipment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Familiarity with MS Office programs
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Software (SAP preferred)
Ability to maintain a project schedule
Basic understanding of accounting principles
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field and 2+ years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
