Responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects within the federal government sector, ensuring adherence to security clearance requirements and federal regulations.
- Plan, execute, and oversee project activities, resources, and deliverables to meet project objectives within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
- Coordinate with federal agencies, stakeholders, and vendors to define project requirements, scope, and goals, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and mission objectives.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, identifying tasks, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths to track progress and manage project risks.
- Monitor project performance, budget utilization, and resource allocation, identifying variances, risks, and issues, and implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve project success.
- Communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to project team members, senior management, and stakeholders, facilitating regular meetings, reports, and presentations.
- Manage project documentation, including project charters, plans, schedules, budgets, requirements, and deliverables, ensuring compliance with security clearance protocols and federal reporting requirements.
- Foster collaboration and teamwork among project team members, promoting a positive work environment and leveraging individual strengths to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project team members, facilitating professional development and career growth opportunities within the project team.
- Ensure compliance with security clearance requirements, federal contracting regulations, and procurement policies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or related field.
- experience in project management, with a focus on federal government projects and contracts.
- Active security clearance, such as Public Trust, Secret, or Top Secret, is required.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects in the federal sector, with knowledge of security clearance protocols and federal regulations.
- Strong understanding of federal contracting regulations, procurement processes, and project management methodologies, such as PMBOK, Agile, and Waterfall.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders, build consensus, and resolve conflicts.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or JIRA, for project planning, scheduling, and tracking.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
- Experience working with federal agencies, departments, or contractors is preferred.
- Knowledge of federal IT systems, security requirements, and cloud computing technologies is a plus.
