Job Description

Position: QA Lab Technician

Days 7:00 am - 7:30 pm, 3 shifts one week, 4 shifts the next week. Including alternate weekends.

Essential Functions

Inspects, monitors or audits all of the following:

Incoming raw materials;
Product additives to ensure required proportions are being added;
Product quality at presses, dryers and packaging;
Quality control audits, metal detectors, weight control, packaging and labeling integrity;
All control points and critical control points per HACCP program;
Allergen control points per Allergen control program;
Production and operator records for indications of quality issues and conformances to

record keeping standards;

Additional Duties

Tracks inconsistencies and reports to QA manager.
Processing checklists and measurements.
Packaging checklists and measurements.
Verifies metal detector tests.
Collects samples and prepares for courier pickup.
Collects product samples for outside laboratory testing and microbiological analysis

when needed.

Must clean the lab and work areas daily.
Other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED required. Food Safety or Science related Bachelor's Degree

is preferred.

Must have thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel proficiency is required.
Ability to communicate, read and write in English in order to understand and follow

work, GMP and safety instructions.

Required to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds at any given time throughout the shift.
