Quality Engineering Manager Role:
As the Quality Engineering Manager you will report directly to the Plant Manager and have a dotted line to the General Manager. The position will be responsible for leading the Quality Function and Activities within the plant. You will provide clear leadership for the development of an environment focused on Quality.
Other Responsibilities include:
- Development of quality process links with customers in line with the QMS, PPAP, APQP, Controls Plans, FMEA and Supplier Quality Assurance processes.
- You will be leading a team of 6-8 people and have responsibility to grow this further and grow the team
- You will work proactively with all Leadership, Supervisors and Employees, to maintain a program of continual improvement within their areas of responsibility
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
- Implement all relevant procedures described in the QMS and ensure compliance
- Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies
- Act as a point of contact for warranty issues
- Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the Quality strategy
What we need for the Quality Engineering Manager:
- Educated with Bachelor’s Degree in technical or business field
- 6+ years of experience in the automotive industry
- Familiarity with electrification would be highly desired
- 3+ years of experience in a Quality Manager position
- Experience working at a manufacturing facility
- Familiarity with IATF16949, ISO and AIAG requirements
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Excellent understanding of GD&T and engineering applications
