Quality Engineering Manager

Job description

A growing manufacturer producing innovative plastic extrusion products is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineering Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform CAPA investigations and lead efforts to resolve quality issues
• Conduct quality audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards
• Develop process flow charts to improve efficiency and quality
• Train extrusion technicians on quality procedures and best practices
• Communicate with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues and maintain relationships
• Analyze SPC data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9000 standards and participate in internal and external audits
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide support and guidance to production and engineering teams to improve quality
• 4 Direct Reports

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in plastic extrusion or related industry
• Strong understanding of SPC and statistical analysis tools
• Experience with CAPA investigations, quality audits, and process improvement methodologies
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards and experience with internal and external audits
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality

Salary: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
