The Regional Technical Manager (Technical Support Analyst III) at Friedrich are responsible for acquiring technical mastery of Friedrich products to support sales growth in their region and include activities such as, but not limited to, property management, establishing relationships with key distributors and clients, provide training online and in classrooms, and assist with product/project management development

This position supports our Friedrich Division, based in San Antonio, TX. This position can be fully remote within the Southeast region, but must be based near a major US city, per Rheem’s Remote Working Policy. Our ideal candidate would be located in FL, NC, SC, or GA.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and communicate manufacturing related issues that arise in field installed equipment.
  • Support Commercial and Hospitality Sales, Processes, and Start-ups.
  • Build support relationships with Friedrich Distributors and Manufacturer’s Representatives
  • Manage high-level trouble shooting issues on sites when necessary.
  • Participate in ongoing refinements of service manuals and guides.
  • Assist Service Department on escalated service calls within territory.
  • Develop mastery of refrigeration concepts and HVAC equipment controls
  • Conducting technical training classes and presentations supporting product lines.
  • Assist in assessing training needs and certifications.
  • Deliver training material and provide agenda for classes and provide continuous enhancement of technical instructional delivery
  • Assist in developing servicer network base.
  • Travel 50%+ to customer sites within assigned territory
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in HVC or Technical Trade Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree in related field highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC application engineering, technical support and/or customer service function
  • Ability to diagnose and rectify complex HVAC systems and controls.
  • Ability to travel 50%+ as needed
  • Basic knowledge of industry related systems and the principals involved in their operation.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment
