Registered Nurse/RN $12,000 Sign on bonus (Child & Adolescent Neuropsychiatric Unit-Towson, 36 hours/week; Day/Eve)

**If hired for this position, you will be eligible for a $12,000. Payment for both will be made in 5 equal installments spread over the year. Continuation of payment for the sign on bonuses is dependent on your continued employment in a bonus eligible position. **

Our Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatric Unit, located in Towson, MD (Baltimore County), is a specialized inpatient unit for the psychiatric evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of children and adolescents with co-occurring developmental and psychiatric disorders. This 12-bed unit is the only one of its kind in Maryland and offers a behavioral approach to care for these dually diagnosed children and adolescents.

Patients most appropriate for care on this unit are between the ages of five and 17, and have acute psychiatric and behavioral needs, along with a neurological, developmental, and/or genetic condition.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans.
• Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician.
• Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families.
• Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other professional staff.
• Document and report patient progress to treatment team.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland (or compact state) at time of appointment and continuously while in position.
• Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred but not necessary.
• A passion for working with children and adolescents on the Autism Spectrum.
• All new clinical staff will begin their extended clinical orientation/training immediately following your first day of employment.
