Residential Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential programs within our
behavioral healthcare facility. The Residential Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the
safety, comfort, and therapeutic environment for residents while fostering a supportive and
empowering atmosphere conducive to their recovery journey.
Essential Job Duties
Promotes and maintains safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance of the milieu
using safe crisis intervention, and trauma informed care while treating residents with
dignity and respect
Ensures the department meets all PCH standards
Conducts intake assessments for incoming residents
Provides residents with support and assistance in completion and/or supervision of their
independent living tasks and goals outlined in resident assessment and support plans
Provides appropriate training to staff (new and recurring) as needed
Ensures that all staff members receive all required annual training as well as any training
required for performance needs
Assists with crisis management as needed
Administers medications to individuals, as needed
Reviews medication changes and makes necessary changes to the medication
administration records and other designated areas
Serves as liaison between residents and family members, therapists, psychiatrists, team
members, other internal personnel and external providers
Triages maintenance requests and arranges for completion of maintenance and
housekeeping needs
Conducts walk-throughs to inspect for any building improvement needs or resident red
flag areas, and to ensure a safe and clean environment

Ensures that all behavioral health service documentation and other required
documentation is completed during the shift
Additional Job Duties And Responsiblities
Completes and tracks a minimum of 12 hours of annual training and all mandatory
trainings, as assigned
Attends community, staff, and team meetings, and other meetings, as assigned
Participates in committees, as assigned
Maintains the confidentiality and security of all New Vitae staff and consumer data and
information
Completes monthly and quarterly summary reports, as assigned
Ensures all resident charting is up-to-date and organized properly
Completes annual employee performance evaluations
Updates and maintains program documents such as census, staff roster, and others as
assigned
Checks inventory for replenishment of needed items (i.e. pots/pans, bedding, bedbug
covers, lamps, etc.)
Maintains the security of keys and walkie talkies assigned during shift
Who checks company vehicles for safety and operational needs?
Abides by employee health and safety policies, including use of Standard Precautions and
Infection Control procedures
Support and adhere to the NVWR platform statements (Mission, Vision, Core Values,
Ethical Standards, Service Model)
Follow policies outlined in the Employee Handbook, and Policy and Procedure Manual
Follow regulations and standards, not limited to: Action Recovery, Personal Care Home,
Office of Long-Term Living, and Department of Human Services
Abides by employee health and safety policies, including use of Standard Precautions and
Infection Control procedures
Attain and maintain the Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) certification, if requested
Other duties, as assigned

Ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions.

Knowledge of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid.
Knowledge of portable fire extinguishers and their locations.
Knowledge of the geography of the site to which assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences from an accredited college or
university
Experience:
Required: A minimum of two (2) years experience in a behavioral health setting.
At least two (2) years of management experience in a behavioral health
setting
