Job Overview

Lavazza North America is on a new growth path in the US and this position will be a key contributor to that growth. The Retail Account Coordinator (known as our Retail Business Operations Manager) is primary responsibility is to support the US Food class of trade (Lavazza Group Home Retail). Responsibilities include business support to the Home Team (6 Sales Managers) in both analytical and operational tasks reporting to the Sr. National Sales Manager. The position interacts with HQ Supply Chain and Marketing personnel and other internal functions. This position will also interact and represent the firm with Trade customers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain the Home Channel Product database - specs, pricing, images – in order to support the Home Team with effective and actionable sales tools.
  • Maintain good and updated presence of the Lavazza Group Brands and Items in the Customers/Trade .com websites.
  • Key contact for new items launches procedures at various retail customers.
  • Ad hoc project manager for specific and operationally complex sales execution project, which includes insuring accuracy of the purchase orders, tracking estimated time of deliveries and prompt communication with customer Supply Chain Dept.
  • Work with an enterprise mindset and collaboratively with Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Sales Operations, Category Development and the Sales Leadership Team to meet and exceed corporate sales goals.
  • Ensure accuracy of internal sell in figures.
  • Provide internal data and data analysis by top customer and relative variances vs forecast.
  • Start getting acknowledged on syndicated and/or customer internal databases to provide performance analysis.
  • Support Home Team in customer calls and be comfortable representing the firm with Trade partners/Customers.
  • Specific Project Goals and Targets, Achievement of Sales Team Annual KPIs , and Sales and Profits Targets.


Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management preferred or equivalent experience required
  • 3+ years of successful business support experience
  • 3+ years of proven cross-functional skills and cross-functional training ability
  • Strong analytical and accuracy skills
  • Excellent skills in communication as well as interpersonal areas
  • Effective sales management and solution selling skills
  • Presentation Effectiveness: Ability to define business opportunities, gather supportive data, organize information, create, and present information to effectively influence key stakeholders
  • Strong Planning Skills: Ability to forecast, prioritize multiple projects and activities
  • Cross Functional Effectiveness: Strong understanding of effected stakeholders, impacts and outcomes, and appropriates communication strategies.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Travel required up to 75% of time
