Job Summary
The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective training and onboarding of Retail Specialists, managing gym inventories in collaboration with retail staff, and supporting merchandising efforts. This role involves developing strategies to increase revenue at individual locations, working closely with gym directors and supervisor teams to ensure smooth retail operations, and partnering with Assistant Gym Directors (AGDs) and Retail Specialists to achieve revenue targets. The coordinator will play a critical role in enhancing operational efficiency and driving revenue growth across all locations.
Job Responsibilities
Training and Onboarding:
Assists in the hiring of Retail Specialists
Train and onboard new Retail Specialists
Ensure adherence to proper training schedules
Ensure all training personnel are adequately prepared to conduct training sessions
Provide consistent feedback and follow-up trainings
Inventory Management:
Collaborate with retail and gym staff to prepare and conduct gym inventories as needed
Manages the regions local non-nationalized assortment in non-key categories
Merchandising Support:
Assist Retail Specialists in analyzing and executing merchandising strategies
Revenue Optimization:
Develop and implement tactics to increase revenue at individual locations
Collaborate with Assistant Gym Directors (AGDs) and Retail Specialists to meet revenue targets
Establish and manage pilot regional product request program
Operational Support:
Work closely with gym directors and supervisor teams to ensure retail operations are supported efficiently
Revenue Planning:
Partner with AGDs and Retail Specialists to help ensure revenue goals are achieved
Job Requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years in merchandising or retail operations, preferably within a multi-location brick and mortar company
Experience and expertise in climbing preferred
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Detail oriented with strong analytical skills in merchandise planning and inventory management
Flexibility and Agility – ability to quickly understand, assess, and problem-solve in a dynamic environment
Passion for climbing culture and understanding of climbers' specific needs
Additional Information
The pay range for this position starts at $60,000 and may increase based on experience and qualifications
