The Sales Consultant position is responsible for prospecting and converting leads into customers as well as maximizing growth and profitability with existing customers. Sales Consultants will develop and use industry and product knowledge while leveraging company resources to achieve goals.
Responsibilities
Actively prospect and convert leads into customers within the assigned programs
Develop and execute a strategic plan that addresses both retention and growth of existing customers and converting prospects to customers in the assigned program
Serve as a trusted consultant for customers to identify opportunities for improvement and growth
Nurture customer relationships while partnering with Customer Support Specialists and other internal resources to optimize selling opportunities
Achieve all sales and profitability targets within the assigned program
Travel to visit key customers, prospects and attend trade shows
Understand and consistently convey TVF’s value proposition to customers in a way that is compelling and differentiating
Interact with our customers and team members in a way that is responsive, professional and reflective of company values
When necessary, engage in customer issues relative to inventory, collections, etc.
Actively seek product, industry and customer intelligence to strengthen our competitive edge
Share knowledge and expertise across all departments to help document and preserve both technical and experiential knowledge keeping TVF’s core value of “always improve” top of mind
Assume additional responsibilities and proactively contribute to projects as needed
Be an advocate of TVF’s core values
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
At least 2 years of general business or sales experience, preferably in a similar role
Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment
Sales related skills including customer service, goal orientation, negotiation, self-confidence, presentation skills and a high level of motivation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must
Ability to prioritize, focus and manage time effectively
Highly organized, positive attitude and high energy
Thrives on competition and succeeding
Ability to travel when required to visit customers and/or tradeshows
