Sales Coordinator – Fairfield Inn & Suites Cumberland

Location: Cumberland, MD

Pay rate: Starting at $16 and up to $20/hr. depending on experience

Fairfield Inn and Suites Cumberland, part of Plamondon Hospitality Partners, is looking for a new Hotel Sales Coordinator to join our team. Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management:

  • Positive phone and email communication skills are a must, as you'll be responsible for handling leads and inquiries for group and corporate business. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to manage small meetings.
  • Cultivate relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and travel agencies for long-term partnerships.
  • Understand client needs to deliver personalized service and ensure timely responses to inquiries.
  • Manage group bookings, oversee block management, and provide personalized guest experiences and follow-up.
  • Maintain knowledge of sales processes, front office operations, and hotel systems (For example, FOSSE) to anticipate client needs.
  • Collaborate with the sales team with leads and inquiries.

Event Coordination And Administrative Tasks

  • Maintain records of bookings, contracts, and client interactions for efficient communication and follow-up through sales systems emails.
  • Prepare reports on sales performance, occupancy rates, and revenue to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to event planning, coordinate event bookings, and foster collaboration with other departments.

Requirements

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in hotel sales, event planning, or customer service is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail a must.
  • Proficiency in using hotel management software, specifically FOSSE, and Microsoft Office programs including high proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Sales-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to achieving targets.
