Position Summary

Contributes to the organization by interacting with patients and scheduling all patient appointments with necessary physician in a professional and courteous manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Answer telephones in a prompt and courteous manner.

Schedules all appointments with the appropriate physician to ensure top quality care to patients.

Responds to curogram/online appointment request

Tracks and schedules referrals

Schedule all e-mail appointments.

Confirms daily appointments, when necessary.

Cancels and reschedules appointments, as necessary.

Reviews the schedule status daily for the remainder of the week and the following two weeks.

Ensures the patient feels welcome to the practice and continues to trust HEA to receive top quality care.

Confirm address spelling and verification of addresses using the appropriate software

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate. Work is performed in an office environment. Work may be stressful at times. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations. Ability to periodically lift up to 25 lbs.

Classified as having no occupational exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens.

COMPETENCIES

EDUCATION High School Diploma or equivalent.

CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES Not applicable.

EXPERIENCE Previous experience in medical setting preferred. Bilingual Spanish a plus!
