Position Summary

Brain Corp is seeking an experienced and talented Senior Content Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. This pivotal role is designed for a passionate content strategist and creator who thrives on crafting compelling narratives across various platforms. The Senior Content Specialist will be instrumental in shaping our content strategy, ensuring that it resonates with our target audiences, particularly within the retail sector, and aligns with our broader marketing and business objectives.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and execute a content strategy aligned with the company's overall marketing and business goals.
  • Manage and create high-quality, compelling content, including blogs, social posts, newsletters, website copy, landing pages, ads, ebooks and more
  • Develop targeted content strategies for demand and lead generation efforts, crafting compelling content tailored to various stages of the sales funnel.
  • Craft foundational messaging frameworks and distinctive brand perspectives
  • Partner with Public Relations (PR) to identify and create opportunities for executives and subject matter experts (SMEs) to contribute to industry publications through insightful and valuable content, specifically targeting the retail industry
  • Ensure that content aligns with SEO best practices and is optimized for search engines
  • Manage content calendars and schedules to maintain consistent publishing cadence and meet deadlines
  • Utilize data analytics and metrics to evaluate content performance effectiveness and optimize future content strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as well as external stakeholders to enrich the content and expand its reach

Education And/or Work Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in content strategy, preferably in B2B and the retail industry
  • Proven track record of creating and implementing successful content strategies

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics

  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and content optimization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate ideas clearly, present findings and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Ability to think strategically and align initiatives with broader business objectives
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of Hubspot

Salary Range

The anticipated hourly rate for candidates who will work in San Diego, California is $38.45 to $49.76. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Brain Corp is a multi-state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
