Known for their strategic collaborations with renowned organizations, they are now seeking a (Senior) Director of Business Development for a remote role open to candidates across the US.


Your role as Director of Business Development:

  • Lead and implement comprehensive marketing and business development strategies for platform licensing and antibody discovery services, focusing on both US and international markets.
  • Develop and manage the internal infrastructure for business intelligence, databases, contracts, agreements, and deal sheets to streamline BD activities.
  • Identify, cultivate, and manage strategic business opportunities with biotech and pharmaceutical partners, particularly those requiring specialized technologies and expertise.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, finance, legal) to finalize business agreements, conduct negotiations, and close transactions.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and events, ensuring effective setup and execution of exhibit booths and branding opportunities.
  • Analyze alliance and partnership trends, providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Address and mitigate concerns regarding the performance of the current BD team, offering strategic solutions and improvements.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, working effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Build and maintain a robust business reference network to support the growth and development of new business opportunities.



Experience and qualifications for the Director of Business Development role:

  • Extensive experience in commercial operations, business development and/or sales in the life sciences/biopharmaceutical industry, with a strong emphasis on the US market.
  • Deep understanding of the biopharmaceutical drug discovery process, the CRO market, and the biotech industry, with specific experience in ADCs (Antibody-Drug Conjugates) and antibody discovery.
  • Exceptional leadership and strategic thinking skills, with a track record of successfully driving business growth and forging strategic partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A keen understanding of global market dynamics and their impact on the life sciences sector.
