Drive innovative marketing approaches for PCPC’s membership growth and retention. Lead strategic development, services, and operations supporting PCPC members, a body of 600+ organizations worldwide. Build a strong and active membership base that supports PCPC’s mission and objectives. Champion PCPC’s commitment to supporting members in a variety of roles throughout the personal care and products industry.


WHAT YOU’LL DO

Advocacy & Member Engagement

Advocate for members across their career journeys to deliver a compelling experience and clear value through relevant professional development tools, programs, resources, career services, networking opportunities, and unique member-only benefits.

Explore and improve the quality and value of member benefits, products, and services to ensure that global membership needs are met.

Serve as the organization's primary subject matter expert and advisor on member needs, membership trends, and health.

Communicate the value of membership, build awareness of benefits, and develop interest in the organization.

Represent the association and its members at internal and external events and meetings.


Marketing Strategy

Develop marketing strategies and value propositions to attract new audiences of professionals to the membership community and support the growth of PCPC’s voice and influence in the industry through a vibrant membership base.

Lead and communicate the marketing strategy and roadmap for expanding our membership community including value proposition and services, pricing model, and classes resulting in overall membership growth.

Contribute to and oversee the implementation of the marketing strategy roadmap to deliver a robust value proposition and benefits that meet member needs and increase long and short-term membership growth.

Direct integrated marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness among our target audience and to help increase market share.

Oversee marketing campaigns to include digital and social media, brand management, content strategies, and email marketing.

Develop membership marketing collateral to support recruitment and engagement and retention.

Ensure the brand identity, messaging. and marketing strategy are infused in all membership marketing efforts to attract new members and retain current members.

Serve as principal salesperson point of contact for the membership team and help close membership deals with industry leaders.


Leadership, Finance, & Operations

Manage and develop the marketing membership team including the associate director, member relations; manager, marketing; and manager, education.

Oversee membership application review processes and annual membership renewal operations to secure annual dues revenue of ~$20 million.

Partner across the organization with a product management and customer-centric approach to deliver quality services and experiences to members.

Define service and operational standards and policies to deliver effective customer experiences while accessing benefits and transacting with PCPC.

P&L; build and manage the annual membership budget in close collaboration with Finance and IT.

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and best practices.


Data & Metrics

Analyze marketing data and user feedback to monitor retention and satisfaction to drive continuous improvement of benefits offerings and the member experience.

Monitor and provide regular reporting and analysis of membership trends, statistics, demographics, and feedback.

Represent the PCPC and its members at internal and external meetings and events.

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and best practices.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCEED

Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or commensurate education and experience.

15+ years of experience in membership management, membership marketing, subscription services, or related field.

Proven experience delivering successful trade association membership or subscription outcomes, such as increasing membership numbers, revenue, engagement, loyalty, and retention.

Strong leadership and budget management skills.

Experience determining trends, issues, and best practices with membership.

Ability to determine cultural, political, and economic factors affecting membership behavior and preferences on a global scale.

Creativity, innovation, and a customer-oriented mindset.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexibility for up to 15% domestic and international travel.
  • Experience leading the transformation of a membership organization and its programs in a professional association strongly preferred.
  • Preferred technical skills:
  1. Web Analytics: Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Heap.
  2. Marketing Automation: HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot.
  3. Social Media Analytics: Hootsuite, Sprout Social.
