Overview:
Join our client's team as a Senior Analyst in Division Order, where you will play a critical role in facilitating the accurate distribution of proceeds from oil and gas sales. You will work within an assigned region to determine ownership interests and ensure timely payment of royalties by analyzing title documents and maintaining ownership records. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Review and monitor well reports for a designated geographic area.
Determine division of interests and calculate royalties for complex transactions.
Set up decks for operated, payout, and non-operated wells.
Calculate and report ownership interests accurately.
Coordinate well set-up processes between Land Operations, Land Administration, and Accounting.
Follow contractual and state statutory payment requirements.
Update working interests and royalty interests based on legal documents such as deeds, assignments, and judgments.
Set up and maintain units, including amendments and revisions.
Analyze and interpret leases, division orders, contracts, deeds, title opinions, probate, and assignments.
Identify and resolve data integrity issues promptly.
Obtain and interpret curative material to resolve title defects and other issues effectively.
Interpret contracts and leases for properties, resolving technical and procedural issues.
Prepare forms for disbursement of payments, including division orders and transfer orders.
Offer alternative solutions to improve processes and systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience with Rockies Division Order maintenance is a plus.
7+ years of relevant experience in Division Order or related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Quorum Land System/SAP preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects.
Knowledge of basic land principles and terminology.
Experience working with confidential and proprietary company data.
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments (e.g., Land Operations, Accounting, Marketing).
Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.72 per hour
