Summary

The Business Development Senior Manager is responsible for directing & overseeing all sales & marketing operations for MQ FF division, namely repositioning 3PL development. Duties include building business relationships in order to meet department sales and operation goals, drafting sales reports, meeting annual targets, understanding customer trends & directing MQ FF operations to adapt to industry trends, and representing the company at industry events.

Compensation Range

$110,000 - $130,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Responsibilities

  • Primary (Business Development)
    • Prospect major clients, cultivate & develop relationship for repositioning account to meet company goal
    • Sustain rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits, exploring their specific needs, and anticipating new opportunities
    • Network with Maquiladora companies to increase repositioning opportunity & increase profit opportunity
    • Investigate and penetrate customers by exploring their specific needs, and anticipating new opportunities
    • Seek to establish referral networks to maximize value from those connections
    • Locate opportunities for new customers that could leverage our current operating footprint between US and Mexico
    • Cultivate lasting relationships with customers to grow customer loyalty
    • Work with customers to better understand their business needs and goals
    • Operations troubleshooting: Identify needs & root cause of issues and provide support / propose solutions as needed
    • Manage Sales/Customer delivery planning and forecasting
    • Develop and oversee process improvement initiatives in order to improve efficiency.
    • Improve customer service & improve profitability of MQ operations, including cost reduction initiatives
  • Secondary (Sales & Marketing Plans and Strategies)
    • Implement marketing strategies, analyzing trends and results, to determine annual unit and gross-profit plans
    • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas and projecting expected volumes and profit
    • Assess costs, competition, and supply and demand to establish pricing strategies
    • Develop and promote weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectives, and keep C-level executives apprised of progress
    • Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand customer base
  • Tertiary (Distribute Knowledge Within Organization & Other Activities)
    • Prepare detailed and accurate sales reports
    • Presents information regarding clients and sales at company meetings
    • Effectively communicate through proposals and presentations
    • Represent the company at industry events/functions

Qualifications

Skills

  • Sales Management work experience in logistics Required
  • Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills Required
  • Experience training & mentoring new employees Required
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills Required
  • Proficient In PC Skills (MS Office-Excel, Work, Power Point, Outlook, Database Management Systems) Required
  • Experience in creating - RFP's, Sales Orders, Freight Quotes in all modes of transport Required
  • Presentations for - Corporations, Executives, Trade Shows and PEF's Required
  • Experience in IMC Sales & OTR Sales Required

Education And Experience

  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • Eight (8) - Twelve (12) Years of Direct Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Sales, Management, OEM Sales, FTL, TLT - FAK Required
  • Seven (7) Years or more of Direct Experience in a Supervisory or Management Role Required
  • Ten (10) - Fifteen (15) years of direct experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Sales, Management, OEM Sales Preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
  • Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
  • Stand/walk
  • Requirement to travel domestically (40%)
  • Use of operating desk machines such as phone, computer, copier, fax machine
