Role Overview: We seek a skilled SharePoint Administrator to join our Information Systems team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Information Systems, the ideal candidate will maintain, design, implement, and manage the SharePoint systems to meet our organization’s needs. The role involves a mix of technical expertise, project management, and effective communication with various departments. It is suited for individuals with a solid technical foundation and keen to explore emerging technologies in a creative and dynamic setting.

What you’ll get to do here:


SharePoint Administration


  • Manage and maintain SharePoint Online environments, including design, architecture, configuration, reliability, performance, monitoring, and security of the platform.
  • Implement and configure SharePoint solutions, including custom workflows, forms, and templates.
  • Oversee SharePoint upgrades and routine maintenance.


System Integration and Support


  • Integrate SharePoint Online with other enterprise tools and applications.
  • Provide technical support and training for SharePoint site owners and users.
  • Ensure effective system backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.


Project Management and Collaboration


  • Work closely with various departments to understand their needs and tailor SharePoint solutions accordingly.
  • Lead and manage SharePoint-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for SharePoint procedures, configurations, and training materials.


Continuous Improvement


  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SharePoint development and trends.
  • Propose and implement improvements to enhance system functionality and user experience.
  • Participate in governance and policy development for SharePoint usage within the organization.


You’ll be a great fit if you bring:


  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role (preferably as an Analyst or Specialist).
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience, in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Certifications in SharePoint, Microsoft 365, or related technologies are a plus.
  • Proven experience in SharePoint administration and knowledge of digital document management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams across the organization.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving ability, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A creative thinker who can propose innovative solutions to enhance technology integration to support organizational goals.
  • Strong understanding of digital document management principles (including storage, retrieval, security, and compliance).
  • While not required, experience working in the arts, non-profit, or cultural sectors can provide valuable context and understanding of our environments' unique challenges and opportunities. Familiarity with such organizations' operational, promotional, and educational aspects can enhance the ability to solve specific organizational needs.
