STONE Resource Group is partnered with a leading company in the Fintech space that is looking to add to their current team by bringing on a Sr. GCP SRE/DevOps Engineer to their organization. This is a hybrid, contract/contract-to-hire opportunity that is perfect for someone looking to work with cutting edge technologies on highly visible enterprise applications.

Job Description

We are seeking creative, high-energy, and driven Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) contractors to work on various projects. SRE is a discipline that combines software and systems engineering for building and running large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant systems.

Job Responsibilities

• You will be working in customer-facing systems in 24/7 environment as well as working closely with software development teams.
• Working with Terraform to build new infrastructures and maintain existing Terraform infrastructures.
• Working on CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitLab CICD
• Containerization solutions Kubernetes, EKS & Docker along with DevOps tools Gitlab(CI/CD).
• Providing first-line technical support for Cloud Scenarios and/or build small logic scenarios/pilot projects/POC’s to customers and showcase cloud capabilities for customer scenarios.
• Developing and deploy reliable, large-scale, services across multiple technology stacks
• Implementing observability of systems for monitoring, alerting, and metrics reporting using DataDog, Prometheus/Grafana, and other tools

Must-Have Skillsets

• Terraform
• CI/CD pipelines - either Jenkins or GitLab
• Kubernetes/Docker/containerization
• GCP
• Golang
• Ability to code in Python and create automation and tooling would also be a huge plus

Nice to Have Skillsets

• You thrive in and have experience and passion for working within a DevOps culture and as part of a team
• You have experience with Software methodologies like Agile and SCRUM.
• Ability to Work with business units such as users, managers, supervisors, and team leaders to understand the challenges and map out and implement a timely solution
