Slim Chickens is a leading national brand in the fast-growing emerging 'better chicken' fast-casual segment. This is a great opportunity for starting and growing a career in the restaurant industry. We are looking for someone to join our Marketing team as Brand Manager.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

As Marketing Brand Manager for Slim Chickens Restaurants you will be responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of Slim Chickens promotional calendar. You will guide this process with strategic calendar recommendations that align with the business goals. You will ensure the marketing department as well as all cross functional partners understand the process for calendar development. You will write clear and articulate briefs that guide all communications for the brand. You will also be responsible for all menu development for the brand in collaboration with Culinary. You will oversee the pricing analysis and recommendations for product launches. Works closely with the Manager of Culinary to ensure all recommendations are validated. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure we have identified KPI’s for all product and menu launches and tests and will report on the findings. You will oversee the creative development process with the Manager of Advertising to ensure all communications are on strategy. You will work closely with the Marketing Tech team to develop the digital marketing calendar that supports the calendar and meets overall business comp goals.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Provide support in the annual marketing planning process.
  • Provide quarterly recommendations for the marketing calendar and oversee the calendar development process
  • Develops consumer and competitive research needed to make marketing recommendations.
  • Writes all product briefs for Slim Chickens calendar planning and testing
  • Works with the finance team to analyze sales trends, menu mix, and other data related information to improve and enhance campaigns effectiveness.
  • Research competitors to stay current with comparable products and offerings
  • Oversees the execution of all product tests
  • Manage the creative development process to ensure all creative is on strategy and executed flawlessley
  • Develops strong relationships with all cross functional partners
  • Maintain close relationships with franchisees, vendors, and manufacturers
  • Budget Management including processing all creative development invoices
  • Manage and Develop the Manager of Brand Advertising

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years professional experience in brand marketing and advertising development
  • Ability to multi-task, focus on priorities and maintain attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Finance, especially expense management, profitability, food cost and labor impact to operating businesses.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work in teams and build good working relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and follow-up skills
  • Proficient with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, etc.)
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365
  • Proficient with Smartsheet

Slim Chickens systems principles and objectives: Is familiar with Slim Chickens established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies, Safety); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems.

Physical Activities: Primarily in an office environment. Enters and locates information on a computer. Visually verifies information, often in small print. Presents information to small or large groups.

Travel: Occasionally travels to and from multiple restaurants or worksites possibly requiring overnight stays. Travel may be Domestic or International?

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising & communications, or relevant field plus equivalent level of job experience and a minimum of five years of applicable marketing experience at a management level.
