Title: Software QA Analyst

Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

We are seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications.
Perform manual and automated testing of web-based and mobile applications, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
Identify, record, prioritize, and track software defects using issue tracking systems like Jira or Bugzilla.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
Participate in requirement analysis, design reviews, and sprint planning meetings to provide input on testability and quality aspects.
Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test data, and test reports.
Conduct exploratory testing to uncover defects and usability issues that may not be addressed by existing test cases.
Perform root cause analysis of defects and provide detailed information to assist with resolution.
Assist in the setup and configuration of testing environments, including software installation and configuration.
Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and QA trends to improve testing processes and methodologies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a Software QA Analyst or similar role, with a strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
Experience in manual and automated testing of web-based and mobile applications using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices, including Scrum and Kanban.
Experience with issue tracking systems like Jira, Bugzilla, or HP ALM for defect tracking and management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and communicate findings effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a remote work environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
ISTQB or similar software testing certifications are a plus.
