This position serves as a financial business partner to Regional Operations Leadership. Additionally, Regional Operations Finance has ownership and responsibility for the analysis, forecasting and budgeting of operating costs for the East Region on an expense base of ~$1B annually. The role reports to the Sr. Manager, Regional Finance - Operations.
Act as a key business partner to functional leaders and their direct reports. Includes becoming a functional expert and an extended member of their team(s), prep and participation in monthly functional financial reviews, tracking of cost saving initiatives and validation, and ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested.
Month-End close analysis:
Work with functional leaders and Centralized Accounting to assess/adjust accrual need
Perform variance analysis vs. prior year, budget, and forecast/outlook
Monthly functional Outlook/Forecast development
Annual Operating Plan (AOP)/Budget process
Participate in AOP process
Bottoms-up, functional detailed budget build up to meet overall regional target
Owner of the region capital expenditure process including:
Partner with functional leaders to develop annual budget and quarterly forecasts for capital spending
Own depreciation budget and outlook
Partner with Fixed Asset team on in-service dates
Own fixed asset physical inventory process including transfers, sales, and disposals
Partner with the QMS function on cost-savings initiatives including participation in Shin Kaizen events
Partner with Operations Finance, Centralized Accounting, and Fixed Assets to complete objectives
Maintain existing SOPs and develop new for your areas of responsibilities
Process Improvement
Ad hoc requests and special project support as needed

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with three to five years of relevant experience including strong computer, analytical and interpersonal skills. The candidate will have the opportunity to use and enhance leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills through various responsibilities and projects.
