The R&D Senior Scientist – Product Development performs all activities involved with Research and Development and Formulation Development.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee physico-chemical (including analytical, micro and stressed stability) evaluation of proposed ingredients and product in development
- Evaluate new and existing ingredients, recommend and provide technical support to Procurement/Quality in sourcing of these materials and implementation
- Approve ingredients, formulas and packaging
- Design and implement formulation experiments and remain current on applicable technologies
- Assist with the design and update of material and product specifications and testing exemption criteria
- Propose label claims based on literature reviews and scientific research
- Document all experiments clearly in lab notebook and be able to generate a report to close the experiment
- Other tasks as assigned by Management
- Bachelor’s Degree in a science field, with 10 + years work experience
- Master’s Degree with 7 + years work experience
- Or PhD with 0-3 years work experience
- Minimum of 10 years product development, formulation, laboratory testing or related experience.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in an office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. This position involves sitting for extended periods of time.
- Monday-Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm (shifts may vary based on needs of the company)
