Positions Summary

  • The scope of the Supply Chain M anager is to manage people, processes and systems across Demand, Supply (inclusive of Supply Network Planning and Optimization) , as well as the planning frameworks, Sales, and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Sales and Operat ions Execution (S&OE) . This role also oversees the shipping resources and plant assets for barges, rail, and trucks.
  • The purpose of the role is to efficiently manage the planning of incoming raw materials, finished product, internal transfers, domestic and export demand planning while creating a seamless workstream between customer needs and operations.


Responsibilities

  • This role manages and facilitates the S&OP and S&OE processes for Frankford Chemical Intermediates, as well as contributing to special projects and other supply chain and business strategy initiatives.
  • This role is charged with developing robust Supply Chain Planning analytics and driving usage of automation and digitization to enable required planning outcomes. This includes scenario analysis, profitability optimization and asset planning to support customer demand. Accountable for key metric development, tracking, and driving of improvements.
  • This role drives and communicates decisions to key stakeholders across the mid to long-term including resolution of variances, risks and opportunities.
  • This role contributes to annual and strategic planning and direction setting for the planning teams
  • This role ensures that the shipping process runs efficiently and dependably. This process includes the shipper position, the railroad system, loading areas including the dock, the assets for loading, and the software used for it.


Experience/Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in demand/ supply/inventory/operations role or related fields
  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree majoring in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business disciplines
  • Demonstrated understanding of end-to-end planning and supply chain management
  • Experience using and improving systems (SAP ERP, ideally S4 HANA)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, measure and improve KPI’s including (but not limited to) On Time to Customers, Forecast Accuracy, Production Adherence, Inventory, and Working Capital Turns

Knowledge Needed

  • Strong financial acumen
  • Good understanding of technology tools and analytics that enable demand and supply planning and reporting and efficient use of inventory in the integrated chain.
  • Experienced supply and demand planning of chemicals utilizing SAP tools (preferably S4 Hana)
  • Business and commercial acumen and knowledge of finance, sales, marketing, manufacturing, logistics and procurement functions
