We are seeking a highly skilled SWIFT Engineer to join our team in Charlotte for a 12-month contract to hire position. As a key member of our Agile team, you will analyze business requirements, design, document, and build innovative technical solutions. Your expertise in SWIFT will be crucial in delivering efficient and secure systems that meet or exceed the SWIFT Customer Security Program requirements.
Responsibilities
Agile Development: Collaborate with the product owner and scrum master to deliver value to the customer as part of a cross-functional Agile delivery team.
SWIFT Expertise: Work with application architects and infrastructure teams to develop best-in-class solutions for Wells Fargo.
Project Management: Manage deliverables and related tasks, including the migration of applications to production.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that quality, security, and compliance requirements are met, and oversee the updating and testing of the business continuation plan.
System Configuration: Perform software installations, configuration changes, and configure plug-in software. Monitor system performance and capacity.
System Monitoring: Monitor system and application changes impacting SWIFT services. Collaborate with the SWIFT Technical Support team to recommend expansion and reconfiguration.
Documentation: Create or update documentation related to design, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting.
Communication: Communicate changes and upgrades to all customers and follow change and problem management policies.
Troubleshooting: Resolve problems and interact with other teams or external vendors as necessary. Provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolving escalated issues.
Required Skills
SWIFT Messaging Interface: Experience with SWIFT messaging and communication interfaces (SAA, SAG/SNL, AMH, microgateway).
SWIFT Services Implementation: Experience in implementing SWIFT services and infrastructure (FIN, FIN+, InterAct, FileAct).
Networking Knowledge: Working knowledge of routers, VPN, firewalls, TCP/IP, and TLS.
Unix and Scripting: Proficiency in Unix, shell scripting (bash, korn), and Perl.
Industry Standards: Understanding of international industry standards (ISO20022, ISO15022, MT, and MX).
Networking and Security: Knowledge of networking and security concepts, including networking protocols, interoperation with firewalls, and load balancers.
Technical Support: Experience in troubleshooting highly complex tiered environments.
Additional Information
On-Call Rotation: Serve as an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, including carrying an on-call pager in a team rotation, which may occasionally require non-standard hours.
