Role: T/SQL Database Developer
Need only local or nearby candidates to Mechanicsburg, PA.
Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in T-SQL, SQL, Database development, and Sybase.
Onsite 5 days/week in Mechanicsburg, PA for the first 6 weeks and then hybrid-onsite 2 days/week.
Position Summary
The IT department seeks an ECI Database Developer who will manage enterprise data by
installing/maintaining ECI software systems for information sharing between case management
systems and external agencies. This includes creating data stores and T-SQL code that align with best practices.

Typical Duties
- Designs, develops, and maintains database code objects, including coding for SQL stored procedures and views, in cooperation with application developers and in accordance with database standards and best practices.
- Designs, develops, and maintains database code scripts to validate or maintain data external to the application.
- Manages and performs detailed testing of database objects and scripts; performs code reviews.
- Writes and maintains specifications and documentation for database objects and scripts.
- Contributes to the design of the data model for application modifications/enhancements.
- Identifies SQL code performance issues and optimizes SQL code for performance.
- Participates (with a team of six) in an on-call weekly rotation to provide support for critical systems outside regular working hours.
- Satisfactory criminal background check required.
- Extensive experience in client-server application development using T-SQL for coding stored procedures and database scripts with a good understanding of relational database concepts required.
- Advanced working knowledge of SAP (formerly Sybase) Adaptive Server Enterprise preferred.
