About the Role:

The Technical Manager oversees Engineering and Quality. This role supports all facets of our manufacturing processes and plays a critical part in interdepartmental communication. Responsibilities include updating and collaborating on projects, new product launches, and addressing quality issues.

• Oversee the engineering control process, including document control and blueprint accuracy.
• Utilize the ERP system to develop and update Bills of Material (BOMs) and technical routings.
• Employ CAD/CAM software for designing new products, fixtures, and workholding, and provide technical support for manufacturing issues.
• Serve as the project leader for new machine installations, process development, cost-saving initiatives, and Quality Root Cause Analysis.
• Lead quality management efforts, addressing both internal and external quality challenges.
• Uphold and refine Quality Standards.
• Act as the primary point of contact for supplier and customer quality complaints.
• Collaborate with the QA inspector to ensure the accuracy of gauge calibrations and oversee necessary repairs and purchases.
• Engage with customers to resolve product inquiries and provide technical support.
• Develop and maintain Work Instructions.
• Other tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• Technical degree preferred.
• Strong time management skills and a results-oriented approach.
• Experience in metal cutting, particularly with CNC lathes and mills; programming experience is preferred.
• Tooling knowledge and experience.
• Proficient computer skills, including Outlook, Word, CAD, and ERP systems.
• Prior experience in manufacturing and shop floor operations.
• Excellent communication skills, both for internal and external interactions.
