Transportation Coordinator

Our client is looking for an experienced individual who will be responsible for managing the freight booking functions of the company. In this capacity, this position will have close interaction with other members of the management team.

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Identifying and vetting of carriers.
• Coordinate with buyers, their needs for transporting loads.
• Coordinate with receiving scheduling of incoming loads.
• Negotiate carrier costs to lower overall transportation costs.
• Track drivers and communicate issues as they arise.
• Troubleshoot delivery issues.
• Record keeping of all loads including pricing, pick up, and delivery schedule.
  
  

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Excel.
• Ability to enter data accurately and efficiently into computer software and systems.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Strong organizational skills with a great attention to detail.
• Ability to follow processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices.
