Responsibilities:
- The Vice President of Service Lines serves as the administrative executive responsible for creating and implementing the strategic, financial, and administrative priorities of BayCare’s Service Lines.
- Partners with the Chief Medical Officer of Service Lines, Cabinet Executives, and clinical and operational leaders to leverage system scale and capability to expand services;
- Develop and implement business plans to support the continued organic growth and new market growth; and ensure the financial viability of strategic initiatives and investments.
- Other responsibilities include planning, developing, and strategy execution of clinical and operational care delivery transformation of the BayCare Service Lines.
- Partners with the facilities/entities to identify best practice outcomes, and insights from data.
- Provides strategic direction and oversight of Service Line development and expansion to include Clinical Institutes, Comprehensive Care Programs throughout the care continuum including Acute Hospitals, Post-Acute Facilities, Ambulatory Delivery Sites, and clinics.
- Additionally, in support of transformation priorities with the CMO - SL, responsible for oversight and performance of relevant care pathways and standardizing specific clinical services (supply chain, pharmacy, etc.) to reduce variation, cost and improve value.
- Areas of oversight include BayCare’s clinical integration, collaboratives, service lines, evidence-based medicine and library leaders and teams.
Required Education:
- Required Education is Master's in healthcare related field.
- Preferred Education is Medical Degree or other Clinical degree.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years executive leadership in a complex multi-facility, tertiary healthcare environment.
Required Skills:
- Experience and understanding in the implementation of Lean/Six Sigma
- Detailed knowledge in areas of quality and patient safety, measurement and data analysis, process improvement, healthcare processes, facilitation, coaching and team building;
- Systematic thinking with demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives;
- Excellent ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse group of individuals, both internal and external to the organization;
- Ability to prioritize quality improvement strategies and choose how best to narrow gaps for programs and outcomes;
- Proven ability to achieve results; Knowledge of statistics, data collection, analysis, and data presentation;
- Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations and accreditation standards;
- Demonstrated skills in Quality Improvement and operations improvement (e.g. lean) methods.
