The Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Operations to drive operational excellence for their world class medical devices.


Onsite in Greater Boston


Must Haves:

  • 15+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain and operations in the medical device industry.
  • Background in multiple lean methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of FDA regulations, ISO 13485 standards, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Background in various levels of mix and volume of medical devices.
  • Strong financial management skills, with experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.


Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's business objectives and growth plans. Ensure operational excellence across all manufacturing sites.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with FDA regulations, ISO 13485 standards, and other relevant regulatory requirements specific to Class III medical devices.
  • Multi-Site Operations Management: Oversee the operations of multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring consistency in quality, efficiency, and performance. Drive site expansion and capacity growth.
  • Financial Management: Manage the operations budget, with a focus on cost control and financial performance. Utilize strong financial acumen to make informed decisions that drive profitability and efficiency.
  • Automation and Digital Strategy: Lead the implementation of automation technologies and digital strategies to enhance operational efficiency and innovation.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement: Champion Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
  • Supply Chain Management: Oversee the end-to-end supply chain, ensuring robust and efficient procurement, production, and distribution processes.
  • Safety, Health, and Environment: Ensure all operations adhere to SHE standards, promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Influence and direct the work of cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and alignment across the organization.
  • Project Management: Lead major operational projects, from planning through execution, ensuring timely and successful completion.
