Position Summary

The VP of Technology Transformation will work closely with the CTO to develop a strategy and plan for technology initiatives and to provide leadership, direction, and operating support for a portfolio of cross cutting technology projects and initiatives. This includes program management, change management, resource management, budgeting, and strategy.

Essential Duties

Lead and Champion IT Transformation

  • Identify, scope and plan technology transformation opportunities in partnership with functional and division leaders -define enterprise roadmaps based on outcomes and interdependencies, to develop our digital capabilities over a 3-year horizon.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of technology transformational programs, ensuring programs are staffed for success, develop internal talent, mentor product teams.
  • Champion capabilities-based thinking and delivery to help shift the IT organization from a technology focused to a business capabilities focused operating model.
  • Mentor, guide and coach technology teams in adoption of product management methodology for internal facing and customer facing applications.
  • Lead planning to evolve and modernize the IT function's services, capabilities and operating model- leverage modern delivery models combined with optimized approach based on our size, scale and business goals.
  • Develop and grow talent in new roles to drive closer partner with business leaders for priorities, technical roadmaps and end user feedback and communication.
  • Act as the Change champion to plan and manage change management activities and gain buy-in for effective transition to new ways of working and thinking.

Develop And Operationalize New/Existing IT Capabilities

  • Oversee and enhance the IT Project Management Office (PMO) and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) activities - including tools, processes and operating model with IT team, and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Tool and support the management of IT budget and operating plan and the program portfolio budget in partnership with Finance.
  • Support evolution of IT vendor management capabilities in partnership with Finance and Sourcing leaders - contract management, develop key vendor partnerships (onshore, nearshore & offshore) to gain synergy for project work, etc.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business management or related discipline; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience managing and delivering IT services and projects.
  • Possess a deep understanding of IT operations and business systems in the context of resilient business and technology processes.
  • Proven track record of delivery in a high-growth, rapidly changing environment
  • Experience guiding teams and executives through complex data-driven decisions.
  • Champion and drive a culture of continuous learning to improve execution and remove roadblocks.
  • Strategic partner who can translate business problems to technology solutions.
  • Experience working cross-functionally across the organization.
  • The proven ability to influence, build consensus and resolve conflict.

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc.'s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Denver area base salary range: $174,000 - $262,000 per year
