Olive Recruiting is seeking a VP, Talent & Development for our client in Seattle, WA. In this role you will drive the strategy and delivery of broad organization development and talent programs. This role will provide substantial opportunity for both vision and execution to develop the talent management function for the organization. This role will partner business leaders, Managers and HR partners and external organizations to deliver best-in-class, comprehensive leadership and management experiences to enable leaders and create a future talent pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Build a CoE that drives organizational development & planning to drive growth and implement the people strategy.
  • Ensure that a systematic cycle of people processes are rolled out across the region including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and development gaps analysis. Develop OD practices that enable an inclusive and diverse culture.
  • Drives plans to build a leadership bench for the region ensuring career paths and development plans are implemented and part of an overarching retention strategy.
  • Leads processes for organizational structure design with business across the region:
    • Reviews and maintains the rules for the span of control and layers in different business units.
    • Conducts regular reviews of the organizational structure and recommends changes to make the organization more efficient.
    • Oversees the development and maintenance of organization design/creation, by understanding the business' operations and best practice.
    • First point of contact for leading the due diligence for any new M&A and ensuring a clear handover to the respective business.
  • Leads continuous improvements while building the Organization Design practices and policies, and strategies within the overall guidelines of Performance & talent development:
    • Manages and leads people review process by implementing a clear operating rhythm and regular review of customers' needs, analyzing, and recommending necessary changes.
  • Drives Performance Management and identifies opportunities for performance improvements aligned to global strategy:
    • Drives and manages the development and implementation of performance management systems.
    • Reviews organizational goals and strategy to relate with preferred organizational outcomes in terms of service quality, cost or timelines and insures alignment in the performance management.
    • Provides ongoing support to ensure that performance management systems are being used to effectively manage operations work processes and individual performances and to identify and manage operational risks.
    • Analyses and reports on performance management results and measurements and provide recommendation for process improvements and program initiatives.
  • Utilizes modern HR Technology and Systems to achieve key Organization Design engagement across the organization.
  • Leads initiative programs that will enhance culture of engagement and growth across the region.
  • Liaises with key departments to deliver OT&D strategy including:
    • D&I strategy with a focus on female development.
    • Talent and development of existing employees.
    • Driving connection with schools and universities to develop the pipeline.
    • Review of existing policies and procedures in line with legislation and our EVP.
  • Responsible for the management and leadership of an engaged team and promoting collaboration.
Qualifications

  • 10 - 15 years of experience working in Leadership Development and / or HR related discipline.
  • Extensive knowledge of Adult Learning Theory, Instructional Strategies and Learning Assessments.
  • A thought leader in the leadership development field with a natural curiosity for leveraging leading edge practices across multiple fields and industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business strategies into critical talent & workforce strategies/initiatives. Demonstrated performance in leadership development strategy, design and implementation.
  • Ability to establish strong presence with executives at all levels.
  • The ideal candidate is an accomplished, high energy, collaborative leader who has experience working with managers and leaders at all levels, and a proven track record of building a progressive leadership development strategy.
