The Wealth Administrator, part of PlainsCapital's Private Bank, is responsible for the administration of trust and investment agency accounts according to each account’s governing instrument and pursuant to the bank’s policies, procedures, and statutory requirements. Works closely with Wealth Strategists to identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining the highest levels of service for existing clients. Maintains current knowledge on applicable regulations, statutes, and legal precedents.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the administration of trust and investment agency accounts according to the governing instrument and pursuant to the bank’s policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Works closely with Wealth Strategists to support new client acquisition as well as to prospect and develop new business opportunities with both new and existing clients.
  • Provides a high level of customer service to our clients by being proactive and communicating with grantors and beneficiaries on a regular basis.
  • Monitors daily cash balances and consults with portfolio managers and investment officer(s) regarding the management of account portfolios; including the establishment of investment objectives.
  • Pursues business opportunities through community involvement and generates referrals from existing clients and external sources such as attorneys and CPA’s.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of regulations, statutes, and legal precedents.
  • Assumes responsibility for related duties as required and assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Degree in Business or related field strongly preferred.
  • 2 or more years’ experience in wealth management or trust administration required.
  • Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) certification or desire to pursue a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of customers, clients, and Bank personnel.
  • Excellent analytical, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Must be self-motivated team player with strong attention to detail, high level of accountability, and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office suite of products, and the ability to learn and utilize custom banking systems and applications.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of ethical standards and complete confidentiality at all times.
