Qualifications:

Essential Responsibilities:

• Ensures and maintains a safe and efficient work
• Ensures and maintains a hostile free and discrimination free work environment, including a drug and alcohol-free work environment.
• Confirms that all PPE is worn at all times by personnel
• Responsible for scheduling and coordinating the availability of equipment required for timely completion of scheduled yard operations and assists as necessary with other required tasks in order to turn trucks around in a reasonable timeframe.
• Plans, designs, and implements yard
• Responsible for working with truck drivers/customers to ensure that the storage facility operation and a follow up assessment prior to shift’s end handled in such a manner that is cost-effective for the company while meeting the customer’s service standards.
• Responsible for managing driver’s safety hours of service and confirm contractors are not working over their allotted hours.
• Completes various reports and forms such as yard inventories and safety
• Follows yard plans, requirements, and
• Assists with safety investigation and reporting damages and liabilities to the appropriate management and authorities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Extensive heavy yard machinery operating
• Thorough knowledge or principles of storage facility operations
• Experience with computerized operating systems
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively with truckers, management, and other
• Knowledge of safety and accident prevention codes and regulations
  
  

Work environment :

• Must be able to work in rotating shifts, days, evenings and
• Must be able to work in extreme outdoor temperatures of hot and cold, extremely dusty conditions and occasionally, conditions of high levels of noise.
• The ability to work in an environment that may be hazardous to persons unable to see and hear fast moving equipment

Essential Job Responsibilities:

The Yard Master receives and releases containers in and out of the facility based on customer agreements. They guarantee the quality, security, safety, and efficiency of the yard in accordance with relevant operational and technical parameters.
