- Once you launch, you'll want to understand if your performance is great, poor or somewhere in between. I'm going to share the benchmarking guidelines that you can compare your performance with so that you know exactly when to ask your boss for a raise because you're doing amazing. So you started advertising but you're not quite sure if you're doing a good job or performing poorly. Well, here's how this works. When you're asking someone to do something from an ad, you have two hurdles to get over. The first is they have to click on the ads and then once they've clicked, you need them to take your desired action or convert. The first hurdle you can measure by your click-through rate and compare that to the benchmark average. And the second hurdle you can look at by your conversion rate and compare that to a benchmark.
