- I had the honor of speaking with Martin Griffin for our course. Martin is a geotechnical engineer. He identifies as autistic, dysgraphic, dyslexic and a person with low vision. Martin shares his story of workplace disclosure and the emotional labor of self-advocacy. Emotional labor refers to regulating or managing emotional expressions with others as part of one's professional work role. It can be very taxing for someone to hold the emotional labor of self-advocacy on top of their regular work demands. Here's our conversation. Hey, Martin, good to see you.
