- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to look at the complete setup of a transient analysis. I'm going to open up a part. We got the exercise file and it's plate modes. And once the part is open, I'm going to save it off, ready for a Nastran run. So I'm going to save it in the directory and the name where I want the Nastran files to be. So I'm navigating to a work area. I'm calling this plate modal transient. Now we're going to the environments, going toward our Nastran in CAD. We're into the modal tree, and this is already set up as a normal modes analysis. We've run through this a couple of times using this particular example. So let's start to change it. Let's edit it, and change it from a normal modes analysis into a modal transient response. Now we want accelerations out as well as displacements. They now have meaning in a transient analysis.
