AWS Solutions Architect - Associate - Amazon Web Services (AWS) Tutorial

- Welcome to this course for the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate Exam. My name is Tom Carpenter, and I've been using AWS now for a very long time. It's one of my favorite tools in the cloud, and I think you'll find that AWS gives you tremendous power and capability without all of the heavy lifting that's required when you do many of the same things on your local network. Now, cloud computing is a powerful tool that allows us to implement those traditional solutions that we used in the '90s and even the '70s and '80s and the early 2000s on our local networks, but we get to do it in the cloud, on the internet, on someone else's network. This course is going to help you understand the AWS solutions that allow you to do just that. Now, we're not just going to go over the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate objectives. We're going to give you tips and tricks along the way that'll make you a much better cloud architect. We're going to make sure you understand what you need to know to be prepared for this exam so that you can master the skills that you need for success. Now, I'm going to begin by helping you to overcome some of the common fears that people have when they prepare for a certification like this. Many people, if it's one of their first architect or design type certifications, they're concerned about how they're going to be prepared for that, so I'll be helping you understand the concept of an architect and what it really means to architect or design a solution, so that you can then be prepared for the types of questions you're likely to see on the exam. I'll begin in the first section by giving you an overview of the certification exam and the details you need to know to get ahead, and then we'll move on to dive right in looking at AWS and all that it has to offer.
