- We are ready now for the final topic that we want to talk about when it comes to an overall introduction to Amazon Web Services and how everything really works here within this solution. And what we're going to talk about now is regions and Availability Zones. Because the thing we have to understand is that while Amazon does not want to reveal to us a specific street address where a data center is located, we need the ability to say, we want our data close to our customers or close to our corporate headquarters or at least as close as possible. So to accommodate that and help us distribute around the world possibly if we need to, in AWS, they use this concept of regions and Availability Zones.
