- [Instructor] In this demonstration, we are going to be integrating a VMware hosted workload application with an Azure native capability. Here's the sample that we are going to use. We have an on-premises VMware based workload, happens to be just a Python program, that opens a connection to Cosmos DB over the internet. No surprises there, Cosmos DB is available through a public access endpoint. So our Python program opens a connection to Cosmos DB, performs certain operations against that. Now, if you were to take this application that you have here on the screen and migrate it to to AVS, what modernization can we accomplish because AVS is co-located with other Azure services? One of the improvements that we can perform here is right now our traffic to Cosmos DB is going over the public internet. How can we improve on that front? So here's another diagram.
