Course details
Many existing buildings are not energy efficient, resulting in high maintenance costs to the owners and end users and negative environmental impacts. The building industry can deliver energy-efficient buildings through sustainable design approaches right from the conceptual design stage of buildings.
This course with instructor Onyema Udeze focuses on sustainable design techniques during the early design stages of buildings, and is tailored around Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) requirements. Onyema covers sustainability and green concepts in building design and explains the LEED rating system. He shows how to use Autodesk Revit and FormIt to create conceptual designs, perform solar and lighting analyses, configure energy settings and carry out conceptual analyses, and more.
