- With so many factors shaping the future of work, HR leaders will need to design and implement policies that respond to the changing dynamic of who does the work and when, how and where the work gets done. However, ironically, according to Gardner, 43% of HR leaders have yet to develop an explicit future of work strategy. You need to have a future of work strategy so that you can develop and revise policies to meet the evolution of business and work. HR leaders will need to develop new or revised policies for a host of things, like remote, hybrid, and flexible work schedules, employee monitoring and productivity expectations, privacy, ethical, and responsible use of employee data, mitigating bias in AI recruitment outcomes, work-life balance and inclusive culture, upskilling, re-skilling, and out-skilling employees, working in the metaverse, digital nomad programs, and using Gen AI in the workplace.
