- Not only do human resource information systems come in all sizes and shapes, they come from all sorts of vendors too. The list of possibilities include standalone vendors, payroll companies, PEOs, insurance brokers, and HRIS consultants. No single HRIS vendor fits all sizes. First are the standalone HRIS vendors such as BambooHR, Workday, Ultimate, Ascentis, Sage, Namely, and dozens of others. Their main focus is to manage people, policies, and procedures. A good source for finding these vendors is Capterra.com where you can compare product reviews and features. Remember, these companies were built to serve a certain size client and sometimes a particular industry. Payroll companies like ADP, Ceridian, Paychex, Paylocity, and dozens of others also offer their clients their own HRIS or one they've white labeled from a partner.
