- Ideally, you'll have some end-user experience creating issues, transitioning issues through workflows, and working into your projects, boards, and dashboards. It's also helpful to have application admin or system admin experience with other software, but it's certainly possible that you don't have this experience, and that's okay. This course will teach you the basics so you can get started quickly. All you need right now is admin access to a Jira application. It's also helpful to have a test environment, but if you don't, don't worry, we'll set one up as part of the course. One last thing. It's really hard to keep up with software changes, especially with cloud software, new features are added, removed, or changed all the time, existing features or even entire products are renamed, and links that worked yesterday are broken today. That's why I've set up a special place on my website to post the latest Jira and Confluence information. When something impactful to the course changes, I'll post that information at the URL shown.
