- [Instructor] Here we're going to discuss draft. The draft tool is used for adding angles or tapers to side walls. Now, faces to draft. What walls are going to be angled? I'm going to pick these walls. Now that I have those selected, the next question that needs to be answered, remember, the little exclamation point is asking for specific input, you have to fulfill this in order to allow the feature to be applied, is, in this case, the neutral element. The neutral element is defining at where the drafting or the tapering or the angle face is going to injet. Think of it as almost a fulcrum. I have these faces here, and when I apply the angle, where is the angle starting from? So it's going to hold it at a location and that's what the neutral element is for. If I come in here, specify my neutral element as this bottom face, you'll notice that it wants to apply this angle to all of these highlighted faces. This is the tooling direction.
