- [Narrator] Windows Admin Center is a locally-deployed browser-based management tool. And it allows you to manage Windows servers with no Azure or cloud dependency. Admin Center gives you full control over all aspects of your infrastructure. And it's very useful for managing servers on private networks when you're not connected to the internet. You can also connect it to Azure resources to manage them, as well, from any internet-connected web browser, such as Edge or Google Chrome. Windows Admin Center has evolved from management tools, like Server Manager and Microsoft Management Console. So the interface will look very familiar to administrators. How does Admin Center work? Windows Admin Center runs in a web browser. And manages Windows server 2019, '16, 2012, all the way back to 2008 R2. It will also manage Windows 10 clients and more through the Windows Admin Center Gateway installed on Windows Server or Windows 10. The Gateway manages servers by using remote PowerShell and WMI over WinRM. The Gateway is included with Windows Admin Center in a single lightweight package that you can download from Microsoft for free. When published to public DNS, it can give you access through corporate firewalls. And it lets you securely connect and manage your servers from anywhere with Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome. How does it help IT administrators? To start with, familiar functionality. It is the evolution of many management platforms that are very familiar to IT administrators, such as Microsoft Management Console. And it's easy to install and use. You can install it on a Windows 10 computer or 2016 or 2019 server, and start managing your server infrastructure in just a few minutes. It complements existing solutions. If you use System Center Configuration Manager, or Azure management, you can combine those into Windows Admin Center. And you can manage it from anywhere. Publish your Windows Admin Center server to the public internet, and you can connect and manage your servers from any internet-connected location. All in a secure manner. Windows Admin Center is a revolutionary way to manage your Windows servers and clients all from one device. Microsoft continues to add features to this product, and Admin Center will save a lot of time when implemented.
