- Now, we are ready to step onto the stage and claim the spotlight, but we don't want to cower behind the podium like most speakers. Most speakers are afraid of taking center stage because they're not confident of how to strategically map the stage as you deliver your talk or presentation. I'm going to share three tools with you, which will enable you to confidently conquer the entire stage and slay every stage you get on. The first tool is the Power Triangle. Imagine an invisible triangle, its points at the front corners of the stage and its apex at the center. This is your playground. Begin at the apex, your opening. As you dive into your story move to the left corner, connect with the left audience, then glide to the right corner and engage the right audience. Return to the center when you're ready to deliver the key message or the punchline of your talk that you want your audience to take home. Remember, you are not a statue.
